Jank Hambrams I greatly enjoy this album. It has so much variety while maintaining a consistent sound, and the atmosphere is incredible. Definitely a new favorite of mine. Favorite track: Quavering Sorrow.

H.L. SEEMING EMPTINESS fills partially the gap Opeth left, when they stopped playing doom death metal. They appear progressive, very atmospheric, melodic and intensive also by using soulful clean vocals besides growls. If all songs were as catchy and thrilling as the hit "What spirits forebode" I would rate "Bliss Entombed" even as great and not only as good. A "must check" for all fans of melodic death doom metal. Favorite track: What Spirits Forebode.

Bliss Entombed is the third output and sort of a new era for Seeming Emptiness, because it´s the first album including other musicians. With Tobias Netzell on vocals, his brother Christian on drums and Laurence Jonathan writing the lyrics, it results in a heavy death/doom mixture with a lot of variety over around 50 minutes.
The album is mostly about loss, grief, the harsh realities and uncomfortable truths of the world we are living in.
Not only captured with music, but also visually, with the great artwork by Katell Anne Vivier.

I thought I was going to pass over this at first - too melodic, too atmospheric. But the melodies are raging and the atmosphere bites, I simply could not get the songs out of my head. The often staccato (and perfectly harsh) vocal delivery adds another layer of frost, and I can almost feel the cold, Siberian forest air settle around me. rvss.eel

I thought Aphotic Veil was and still is one of the greatest releases I've ever heard, I love it. So understandably I was a little apprehensive about this release. It's awesome to be able to say that this full length is every bit as good. This is truly masterful metal with epic melodic doom death and black metal overtones. But there is so much more to it than that, it's just so well done, craftsmanship in it's truest form. Fraz

These musicians know how to drive music straight to the heart. Black metal is more than a cold premise for refined guitar work and multiple changes inside each song. Lyrics too are incredibly inspired and matching with music. Marrasmieli is a newborn flower, still covered by dew's brightness. Aallot is in particular a lesson of emotional crescendo, especially in second half of the song but in general, all the tracklist remains on the peak of the best inspiration.
